Now hiring — BP sites, Peninsula & EastLink

Farmers Hub is hiring a Harvest Hero.

Are you passionate about fresh produce that comes direct from local farmers, and about backing the growers and communities behind it? This is part evangelist, part community manager, part salesperson, across our five BP sites on Peninsula Link and EastLink.

Know your patch. Know your growers. Bring your community with you.

The role

Farm fresh tastes better. Your job is to prove it.

Farmers Hub is a new, growing brand on a mission to get fresh, direct from farm produce into the hands of our community. There is a simple joy in a bite of fruit picked at the peak of ripeness, and we exist so more people get to have it. Our fruit reaches stores in hours instead of spending days in packing sheds, wholesale markets, refrigerated trucks and distribution centres, so our farmers can pick closer to peak ripeness when natural flavour is at its best.

You are the voice of that idea on the forecourt. Most people pull in for fuel and a coffee. You are the one who gets them tasting a strawberry, hearing who grew it, and walking out with a punnet. Learn the story, tell it well, and turn a quick stop into a regular who tells their neighbours. New to this? Bring belief in the product and the energy to talk to strangers, and we will teach you the rest.

What you will be spreading

Three things we want everyone to know.

Farm fresh tastes better.

Long supply chains are why shoppers end up with floury apples and berries already turning. In CHOICE's 2025 supermarket survey, only half of strawberry punnets were decay free on day one, and by day five just a quarter were. We shorten the chain so our farmers pick closer to peak ripeness.

A fair go for farmers.

Family growers face rising costs, limited market access and pricing pressure that can push returns below what is sustainable. We are building a route to market that rewards freshness and taste rather than scale, with fair, transparent pricing. We also buy beautiful fruit that misses cosmetic grading.

Fresh food, healthy choice.

Fresh fruit is an easy way to add fibre, vitamins, minerals and protective plant compounds to your day. Nutritional quality starts changing at harvest, and food scientist Diane Barrett's review found losses reaching as high as 77 per cent over long storage.

Your days look like
  • Selling fresh produce and telling the grower's story, by name
  • Converting shoppers into believers, one tasting at a time
  • Keeping the display full, fresh and easy to grab
  • Building a local community online and off, Reels first
You are who we want
  • You genuinely care about real food, and you love talking to people about it
  • You can back yourself to sell, because you believe what you are selling
  • You know the Peninsula Link and EastLink area, and can get around all five sites
